Super Mario Wonder: Where To Find Every Collectible In ‘Swamp Pipe Crawl’

October 26, 2023 by Adam Carr

Complete walkthrough for every collectable to be found in ‘Swap Pipe Crawl’ for Super Mario Wonder’s first world.

Table of Contents[Hide][Show]
  • Purple Coin #1
  • Purple Coin #2
  • Wonder Seed #1 & Purple Coin #3
  • Flag & Wonder Seed #2

‘Swamp Pipe Crawl’ is one of the harder levels in Super Mario Wonder’s first World as it introduces new mechanics and hides its collectables especially well. Like all the levels up until the point, however, it’s an absolute blast to play and collecting everything is more fun than it is a chore.

In this guide, we are going to walk you through how to find every Purple Coin and Wonder Seed in ‘Swamp Pipe Crawl’  so you can get 100% completion. There is no secret exit in this stage so you can get everything in one playthrough.

Purple Coin #1

The big gimmick in this level is the concept of moving pipes. You first see it when enemies move them, and you better believe you can do it too – just make sure you defeat the pusher first.

The first Purple Coin is found fairly early on. Push the movable pipe to the right until it slots in place and creates a full pipe. Go down the pipe and grab the Purple Coin.

Purple Coin #2

Immediately after this coin head to the right. You will see a pipe that connects to a large red corner piece. Push the blocking pipe out of the way and then enter the pipe. You will be sent to a secret area where the second Purple Coin is hidden. Avoid the snails and grab the coin.

Wonder Seed #1 & Purple Coin #3

Once you have reached the halfway mark you will find more pushable pipes. Complete the pipe to spawn a Wonder Seed. This will cause the pipes to turn into moving snakes. Ride them. Just be careful as they don’t stop for anything, so you will need to be quick when making detours.

There is a pipe that leads to the background layer of the level. This area contains the final Purple Coin. You have two options, either quickly grab it before the pipe makes a runner, or come back for it by backtracking after the Wonder Event. In either case, continue to ride the pipes until you can nab the Wonder Seed.

Flag & Wonder Seed #2

As per usual, the final Wonder Seed is collected when you complete the level. You will also want to reach the top of the flagpole to nab the Flag collectable for the level. Simply make a running jump with a spin to make it. If you want to make it trivial, do the level with the ‘Add ‘!’ Blocks’ Badge as this spawns a platform near the pole.

That’s all we have on Super Mario Wonder for now. Be sure to check out our other Guides, Lists, and Walkthroughs for more Mario content.
