Minecraft Legends: How To Unlock Power Towers | Ultimate Defense Locations Guide

April 19, 2023 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Blast, Freeze and Stun Piglins with these powerful unlockable defense towers.

Want to beef up your village defenses in Minecraft Legends? There aren’t just ultimate units to unlock, you can also disassemble ultimate defense towers that give you a serious boost. There are many multiple Power Towers you can find in the Overworld map. After locating a tower and purchasing the upgrade to interact with them at the Well of Fate, you can shrink the towers down to their core essence and plant them somewhere new. The towers are always located in far-off areas where they can’t help anyone. By spending a bounty of gold, you can permanently unlock them for travel and plop them down in whatever village you want.

There are multiple different types of towers. One tower summons lightning to blast attacking Piglins — others blast them with magical ice to freeze them in place or bang a powerful bell that stuns them. All are useful in different ways and can even be used as a powerful tool for attacking large strongholds. Clean-up Netherrack deep into an enemy base and put down a tower to wipe out everything easily.

How To Unlock Power Towers

After completing the Night Beacon quest, Piglins will roam the Overworld freely and plot invasions at night. To make fighting them back, you can gain access to power-ups called Power Towers. Each Power Tower has a different special ability — and they’re all very powerful. Before you can interact with Power Towers, you’ll need to unlock them.

  • How To Unlock Power Towers: At the Well of Fate, construct the Improvement: Collect Power Towers upgrade. It costs 100 Prismarine and 100 Cobblestone.

Once this upgrade has been built, you’ll be able to interact with the Power Towers. These are marked with a “?” in different regions of the map.

  • Blast Tower: Forest Region – Located in the northeast in the Forest Region, to the east of the Dry Savannah Village. Requires Gold and Redstone to unlock.
  • Blast Tower: Meadow Region – Found on the southeast edge of the map, southeast of the Meadows Village.
  • Stun Tower: Swamp Region – On the north edge of the Swamp Region, due north of the Swamp Village. Requires Gold and Coal to unlock.
  • Stun Tower: Tundra Region – On the far southwest of the map, south of the Skeleton Mob’s village. Requires Gold and Coal to unlock.
  • Stun Tower: Swamp Region – Right to the north of the previous tower.
  • Frost Tower: Tundra Region – On the far west side of the map, to the west of the Skeleton Mob’s village. Requires Gold and Diamon to unlock.
  • Frost Tower: Tundra Region – Another is directly north of the Skeleton Mob’s village.

Activating towers makes the entire region safer against Piglin invasions. After deconstructing a tower, you can place it in a new spot — defending a village. For each tower you unlock, you’ll be able to place one more tower. These are permanent unlocks.
