Crash Bandicoot 4: All Crates & Hidden Gem Locations | 10-1: Nitro Processing 100% Guide

October 16, 2020 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Nuke the Nitro.

We’ve finally made it to the final map of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time — and the levels are getting aggressively, in-your-face difficult. This particular level isn’t too bad, but things are going to get a lot worse soon. This stage is all about that green stuff. All those Nitro crates that have been the bane of Crash Bandicoot’s existence? They all come from here.

There are some long sequences where you’ll have to fight tons of enemies and still reach the end without dying. Most of the crates are pretty easy to spot. The problem is grabbing them all without dying. There’s only one extremely well hidden crate in this level, so if you’re missing one, just check the guide below for those [Easy-To-Miss] tags.

10-1: Nitro Processing | All Crates & Hidden Gems

To earn 100% on a level, you need to find 80% of all Wumpa Fruit, die no more than 3 times, find the Hidden Gem, and find all crates. These challenges can be completed in any order. If you die more than 3 times while finding all the crates, you can return and earn the last gem later. All gems you’ve unlocked in a level stay unlocked in future replays.

14/135: All the crates up to the first checkpoint are easy. You won’t miss them.

16/135: Past the checkpoint, there are 2 crates and 8 Nitro crates. Only the 2 crates are required.

[Easy-To-Miss] 17/135: After gaining the gravity power-up, use it to reach the top of the platform you start on. There’s a gold fruit crate up there.

24/135: Continue through the gravity area with the giant spinning gears. Later, you’ll have to jump onto a giant gear, switch gravity, then jump onto a second gear above. Take note of this second large gear.

Hidden Gem: On the large second gear, ride it up and past the “ceiling” platform you need to stand on to continue. Up above, there’s a Hidden Gem.

25/135: Next to the Hidden Gem, there’s a fruit crate. Just smash it with a spin-attack.

30/135: Continue to the second checkpoint. Don’t miss the TNT crates or the crate floating above the spinning gear with Nitro crates.

54/135: Smash all the crates on the path until you reach the large spinning gear. Destroy all the crates on the spinning gear — there’s one in each section.

59/135: There are 5 floating crates right past the large gear. Bounce on the crates to reach the aku-aku crate at the end.

[Easy-To-Miss] 60/135: Down the next slippery slime slide, there’s a single crate you don’t want to miss near the bottom.

63/135: Reach the third checkpoint near the giant nitro processing mixer.

69/135: Continue the long path of enemies to the checkpoint. Ride the lift down and jump to the narrow hallway with wall-running pointers.

[Easy-To-Miss] 70/135: Stop at the checkpoint. Right behind it, there’s a secret aku-aku crate below the hall and the falling platform with the two lightning bugs.

75/135: Continue to the bonus room entrance.

[Bonus Room] 99/135: There are 22 crates in the bonus room. At the first TNT, jump on it and then jump right before the TNT explodes. Bounce to the second set of TNT, then quickly rush to the exit before it goes off.

103/135: Collect the slow-mo power-up and reach the next checkpoint.

109/135: On the final part of the level, destroy the 3 floating crates near the spinning gear, the crates on the slippery slope, and the single crate above the Nitro.

135/135: Hit the Nitro detonator to get the rest of the crates.
