Destiny 2: Year 3 – How To Get The Leviathan’s Breath Bow | Exotic Quest Guide

October 23, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Grab this Season Pass exclusive bow with these simple Exotic Quest steps.

The Destiny 2 Season Pass is here to deliver a relatively easy Exotic Bow that literally any Guardian can grab with a little bit of grinding. Unlike past Exotics, this one isn’t too hard to find if you know where to look, and what to do. It’s another powerful Exotic Bow, and there aren’t too many of those. As an avid Destiny 2 bow-lover, this is a weapon you’ll want to grab ASAP.

The trickiest part is the first step. The game flat-out tells you to check Banshee-44 for his Exotic Pursuit, so there’s no challenge to finding the quest itself. But, you will have to locate a hidden room deep inside the Tower. There’s a lengthy path that leads from the Hangar, up and around to the Future War Cult lobby, and finally to the secret room itself. Check out the steps below for all the details.

If you’re looking for another Exotic Bow that just became available, check out our guide for the Wish-Ender Bow right here.

How To Get The Leviathan’s Breath Bow | Exotic Quest Guide
  • NOTE: The Leviathan’s Breath Exotic Quest requires the Season Pass to activate.

To begin the Exotic Pursuit for the Leviathan’s Breath Bow, travel to Banshee-44 in the Tower. There, you’ll find the Exotic Pursuit in the vendor menu — it was added for the Season Pass on Oct. 22, 2019.

To begin the quest, you’ll need to find a secret entrance to Banshee’s Workshop.

Step #1: Finding The Hidden Workshop

Enter the Hangar area of the Tower and climb the stairs directly to your right as you enter the main room. Follow the catwalk around until you reach a spot where you can jump onto a catwalk directly above the entrance you just walked through.

Go through the circular tunnel, into the vent, drop down into a room, go through the door to the left, crawl through the vents, exit into the TV room, and jump into the ceiling vent in the storage room ahead. It’s in the back-left corner.

Go to the second tunnel on the left inside, jump up, and complete the first step. Go back to Banshee for another set of objectives.

Step #2: Generate A New Code With Activities

This is a much more straightforward step. You need to complete Gambit Prime matches, Nightfall Strikes, standard Strikes, and standard Gambit matches. The Nightfall Strike fill the code much faster than any other activity — the higher the PL, the better. The Gambit Prime matches are pretty good too.

Step #3: Get 100 Bow Precision Kills On Vex Or Cabal

After you’ve filled the meter with ‘data’, you’ll need to kill 100 Vex or Cabal with bow headshots. Jump into a Vex Offensive with any bow, or just travel to any planet with Vex and Cabal. It’s a very straightforward step, but Cabal headshots are a little easier to score.

Step #4: Complete The Custom Strike

For the final step, you’ll need to complete a special Arms Dealer Strike. The only difference in this EDZ Strike is the final boss encounter — you’ll have to avoid an endless barrage of missiles, but at your PL this should be a simple fight. Blast the boss, complete the strike, and return to Banshee-44.

He’ll send you back to the hidden Armory room. Follow the same path you took to reach it again, and this time the weapon cabinet will open and you’ll receive this very special Exotic Bow.
