Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Lake Walkthrough

March 27, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Crush all the shrines in the Lake Tower region, just southeast from the Great Plateau, with this list of step-by-step solution guides.

Table of Contents – Lake Shrines

  • Ya Naga Shrine
  • Ka’o Makagh Shrine
  • Pumaag Nitae Shrine
  • Shae Katha Shrine
  • Shoqa Tatone Shrine

Ishto Soh Shrine – Bravery’s Grasp

This shrine is on the border between the Wasteland Tower region and the Lake Tower region. Search the flat plateau east of the snowy Daval Peak / Mount Granajh. If you’ve hunted the Giant Horse, this plateau is in roughly the same area.

From Zokassa Ridge or Daval Peak, Link can spot a plume of black smoke on the plateau. That’s your goal.

As you enter the shrine, you’ll find a moving platform below, and a switch. Activating the switch will raise / lower blocks in the corner. Let’s go over the steps one at a time, but first…

  • Optional Chest: Near the switch, you’ll find a laser generator and a chest behind that laser. Use Stasis on the generator to stop the beam and grab this treasure.
  • Optional Chest: The second chest is on the back wall, and appears out of reach. To get to it, hit the switch so the stone pillars lower. Return to the entrance and glide to the lowered pillars, then detonate bombs / shoot the switch with arrows to reach the top and get your treasure.

Here’s the trick to solving this puzzle. Remember that laser generator? Link can pick it up. Place the generator block onto the moving platform, facing the switch. As it passes by the switch, the laser will activate it. Now all you have to do is wait by the blocks that lead up to the altar.

Each time the switch is activated, the blocks will raise / lower, making the exit path possible. Use the altar to complete the final shrine of the Lake Tower region.
