Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Lake Walkthrough

March 27, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Crush all the shrines in the Lake Tower region, just southeast from the Great Plateau, with this list of step-by-step solution guides.

Table of Contents – Lake Shrines

  • Ya Naga Shrine
  • Pumaag Nitae Shrine
  • Shae Katha Shrine
  • Shoqa Tatone Shrine
  • Ishto Soh Shrine

Ka’o Makagh Shrine – Metal Doors Open the Way

Found just outside the Highland Stable in the Lake Region. You can’t miss it if Link follows the main road south from the Bridge of Hylia. The stable is in the Fural Plain, near Haran Lake.

Use Magnesis to open the first metal doors. In the second room, Link will encounter two weak Guardian Scouts. Use a bomb to bust through the weak blocks to the left, near the large metal doors. Destroying the weak blocks will allow Link to grab the metal door with Magnesis and use it to create a bridge.

  • Optional Chest: This one is hard to miss. Find the chest behind the two metal doors in the second room.

Use the loose metal door to create a bridge. The first platform on the right has a ramp — go to the second platform on the right, leapfrogging and reusing the same metal door panel.

  • Optional Chest: On the higher of the four platforms, there’s a metal chest on a pile of stone blocks. Use the metal door to reach the platform, then use Magnesis to pull the chest down. You can also use the metal door to knock down the tower of stone blocks.
  • Optional Chest: There’s another hidden chest beneath the second. Drop down to the backside of the tallest platform and use Magnesis to remove a metal block. There’s a third chest in this alcove.

All you have to do is use the metal door from the second-right platform to create a ramp to the altar exit.
