After ripping a hole in the cosmos, some strange stuff is bound to fall out. In Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, our hero Spongebob enters multiple weird worlds based on familiar Bikini Bottom locations. You’ll revisit Goo Lagoon, Sulfur Fields and Bikini Bottom Downtown — all locations from Battle For Bikini Bottom — and they’ve all been remixed with totally new themes. You’ll explore medieval castles, movie sets, Wild West towns and an even-spookier Rock Bottom. All of these locations are ruled by a different resident of Bikini Bottom, twisted by the wishes of the Cosmic Bubble. Below, we’re covering every big boss fight and how to beat them.
This is a game designed for new players, so all these battles are totally manageable even for young players. If you want to see what the big five bosses look like — or if you’re stuck and need a little nudge in the right direction — here’s all the bosses in Spongebob’s latest big game.

How To Beat Karate Sandy | Boss Guide
Karate Sandy has three phases. You need to stun her then use a Karate Kick to deal damage to her health bar in the bottom-left corner.
Phase 1: Sandy will appear in a giant wheel. Stand in front of a pile of explosive barrels until she charges forward — dodge out of the way so she rolls right into the explosives. While she’s stunned, use a Karate Kick to damage her. That’s the only ability that will work.
Phase 2: A wave of enemies will appear after the first phase. Defeat them, and Sandy will appear with a giant wheel that bounces around the environment. This one is especially tricky to dodge. Roll out of the way then use double-jump and glide to avoid touching it. Keep dodging until Sandy gives up and switches back to the giant wheel. Again, lure it into explosives and karate kick Sandy!
Phase 3: Defeat a second wave of enemies, and this time Sandy will summon an army of security guys. They’ll charge around the arena in a circle. Dodge and stand in the opening between security guys to avoid their attack. You can’t jump over this one! Land three hits to win the battle.
How To Beat King Gary | Boss Guide
King Gary is a giant snail in the center of the arena. If he spots Spongebob, he’ll blast you with an icebeam that freezes you instantly. Mash attack to escape. This boss has three phases — instead of attacking Gary directly, we need to get rid of his candy.
Phase 1: Use the hiding spots to move closer to the vending machine directly under Gary. Dodge and stay out of the vision cone, using the slime walls to get close. His pattern doesn’t change, so once you get close enough Gary won’t be able to see you. After destroying the vending machine, dodge the red markers that appear on the ground to avoid a slime blast!
Don’t forget to grab the extra underwear. One will appear after each phase.
Phase 2: Gary will raise his platform up. Go upstairs, which are now free to explore, and follow the path all the way to the opposite side. Here, you’ll need to use the moving snails to avoid being spotted. You can see safe spaces based on the shadows on the snails — they’ll appear even when Gary’s eye beams aren’t on the snails. Sneak all the way to the next vending machine!
For this phase and the next, Gary will change his gaze. A light glow will pass over his new patrol area — but he won’t be able to catch you yet. Until the bright spotlights appear, you’re safe to run around.
Phase 3: The final phase. Another set of stairs falls down. Go up while avoiding Gary’s slime barrage. This time, more enemies will appear on the path. Be prepared to fight and stay in the shadows. Let the enemies come to you so you don’t step into the light!
How To Beat Pom Pom | Boss Guide
The leader of the cavefish is Pom Pom — Mr. Krabs’s daughter. She stands in the center of the arena, generating shockwave attacks. Like other bosses, she has multiple phases.
Phase 1: In this phase, Pom Pom stomps the ground, generating shockwaves that emit from the center of the arena. Double jump to avoid taking damage! After enough shockwaves, rock platforms will fall into the lava. Use the platforms to reach the fossil teeth and smash them. Enemies will spawn while she stomps — you don’t need to defeat them, but it helps. Dodge until more pillars drop and use them to break the teeth. Break all the teeth to reach the second phase.
Phase 2: Pom Pom now generates two different types of magma attacks. Her stomps shoot out shockwaves and tall spires of magma. You can jump over the low magma, while you need to stand in the empty space between the taller blasts. She’ll also generate damaged tears (seriously) and spin around the arena. Dodge all of these attacks and the lava will recede. Attack the fossils underneath her platform while the area is clear.
Like the previous phase, you need to repeat this step three times. For the final fossil, a huge group of enemies will spawn. Don’t bother fighting them all! Destroy the fossil when it appears, and the battle will be over.
How To Beat Glovey Glove | Boss Guide
Like other bosses, Glovey has three phases. Glovey sits on top of the Krusty Krab, launching volleys of slime down at Spongebob. There’s nothing you can do — you have to reach the Reefblower to deal damage!
Phase 1: Cross the boats and defeat the enemies in this small area, dodging the barrage of slime. Go left and double jump up to the Krusty Krab sign to collect the Reefblower. Drop back down to the jelly enemy arena and start sucking up enemies. You can’t melee attack with the Reefblower equipped, but you can dodge. Dodge away from the barrage of attacks, fill the reefblower, and blast Glovey. Just stand close enough and your Reefblower will auto-target him.
Phase 2: This one is a little trickier. You’ll be launched into a new arena. Defeat the incoming enemies, including the jelly brutes. You can lure Glovey’s slime barrage into the brutes to deal extra damage to them without having to hit them yourself — this is a great way to defeat them way faster. Once all the enemies are clear, ride the Bubble Surfboard and grab the Reefblower. Again, suck all the minor enemies until you’re full and blast Glovey. For this phase, you need to bounce on the bounce pad to jump high enough to target Glovey.
Phase 3: For this final phase, you won’t have to fight jelly enemies. Dodge slime attacks until the Reeflblower appears. Use the Reefblowers to suck up the balls of junk Glovey launches periodically — you’ll need to suck up two junk balls to fill your meter. Once last blast will defeat Glovey and rescue the Krusty Krab!
How To Beat Jelly Squidward | Boss Guide
Squidward and Kassandra are on a rampage! Squidward slams the ground with his tentacles, generating shockwaves you’ll have to double-jump over to avoid damage. To defeat the cosmically enhanced Squidward, you’ll need the Reefblower.
Phase 1: Dodge shockwaves until the Reefblower appears. At this point, enemies will spawn while Kassandra / Squidward launch a barrage of jelly attacks, so you’ll need to keep moving! This section is similar to the fight against Glovey, so you should be prepared. Fill the Reefblower and then target Kassandra — she’s floating right in front of Squidward.
Phase 2: For this phase, Squidward’s shockwaves change form. This is similar to the battle against Pom Pom in the Prehistoric stage. Tall pillars of cosmic jelly will eminate from the tentacle slam, forcing Spongebob to dodge through the gaps in the tall slime.
Phase 3: The final phase is similar to Phase 2, but the tentacle strikes and tentacles move much faster. Save up your extra health underwear pick-ups
And that’s all the boss fights in The Cosmic Shake!
