Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly has put forward a crazy theory about Grand Theft Auto 6 coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.

He made this tweet a few days ago:
After seeing Xbox Black Friday numbers and the Series S/X now being pretty much dead in the water, I am actually starting to come around to the idea that this might actually happen
(No, I still dont believe my source who said its coming, I think hes just guessing.)
I am looking at it strictly from a financial/business perspective, especially with the upcoming GPU price increases, consoles are going to become far more expensive and the main thing Rockstar want is as many people to access this game as possible so the GTA Online beast continues to print them money. Lol
The Switch 2 Rumor Has More Weight Behind It Than You Think
Reilly says he does not 100 % believe his source about a Grand Theft Auto 6 Switch 2 port. But there are other people who have corroborated this rumor and backed it up.
Nash Weedle has gone on record that this port is in the works. Furthermore, he claimed that the game got delayed for this port.
For what it’s worth, Nash Weedle also says Rockstar is not planning to release the Switch 2 version at the same time.
NateTheHate, for his part, said that he has not heard anything about this rumor. While we initially assumed this was a denial, it’s actually a neutral statement. Nate hasn’t completely debunked it quite yet.
Kiwi Talkz Has Said This About Xbox Before
Reilly has previously claimed that Rockstar is considering the Switch 2 because they aren’t certain about the situation with the Xbox. He disclosed that his source for this has gotten information before as well.
So he essentially disavowed responsibility for the rumor, and decided to just share it around. Now he claims the reason for this is tied to the potential higher prices of Xbox consoles moving forward.
We Don’t Buy It
We will point out here that there are approximately 30 million Xbox Series X|S units sold out in the wild. In contrast, Nintendo has sold over 10 million units as of last month.
As impress as the Switch 2’s sales numbers are, it should be plain obvious that there are still more Xbox Series X|S owners than Switch 2 owners by a ratio of 3:1. Even if Microsoft has quietly ended sales of their current generation consoles (which they have denied), there’s no reason to not bring the game to Xbox.
And we’re definitely not saying this debunks the Switch 2 rumors. It’s just that this seems to be a weak argument.
