Original Story…

There is quite a bit of hype built up around the upcoming launch of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. The game is nearing its release later this week, but if you’re looking for another reason to dive into this installment, Naughty Dog is hopeful you’ll take up with No Return. The No Return mode has been one of the big components that fans have discussed since its reveal. Developers have expressed that there will be some real challenges for players to face. Today, a new video tease online has showcased just one obstacle you might be up against.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered No Return mode is a survival roguelike experience. Players are going to get random encounters, scattered levels, and some unique elements to keep you on your toes. Another thrilling aspect of this mode is that Naughty Dog has added some additional characters to play. Each will have its own attributes to either help your preferred playstyle or be potentially useful for whatever goal or objective players are asked to complete. But it does look like Naughty Dog is trying to keep you alert, as all kinds of unique situations may pop up.

The mods in #TLOU2Remastered's roguelike mode #NoReturn can get pretty wild. Take Molotov Rain, for instance. 🔥🌧️

One of the objectives you might find yourself getting through is not getting hit by Molotov Rain. Naughty Dog’s official X social media account teased a short clip of Ellie having to dodge some fiery explosions as they smash down on the ground. You can view the footage in the video embedded above. But as you can see, there is no telling just what might show up in this game mode when it launches into the marketplace. However, at least one player out there has an idea.

Earlier today, we reported on a series of leaks showing up online from a player who got a copy of The Last of Us Part II Remastered about a week before its launch. Fortunately for the rest of us, the game is nearing its release. Players can mark down their calendars for January 19, 2024, as that’s when you can pick up a copy of the game. With that said, we know that afterward, Naughty Dog is going to release a new documentary video for players to sit in and watch. This will highlight the development process that Naughty Dog went through to get the sequel installment into the marketplace. In other news, The Last of Us season two has recently unveiled a few new cast additions for characters like Abby, Jesse, and Dina.
