Hideo Kojima absolutely loves teasing fans about his upcoming projects, almost more than the reception said game actually gets upon its release. Over the past few months, the famed video game developer has been teasing fans with silhouettes of actors, with these being hints about which actors will be playing characters in his new game, and on that subject, has Kojima just revealed another potential Death Stranding 2 actor?
These small teases have been popping up in recent times, but it was yesterday that Kojima posted his latest picture of the mysterious trio of actors that will be appearing in the game. Kojima took to Twitter to post the silhouette, and it’s got fans talking about who it could be.
In the exact same fashion, it was revealed that Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna would be part of the next project. Fanning was teased with the “Who am I?” slogan, whereas Kutsuna was revealed alongside the “Where am I?” message. And the words that accompany this latest picture are simply “How come?” It’s all very cryptic, so secretive in fact that figuring out who the actors are, has become quite the challenge.
There were a lot of fans out there that thought the “Where am I?” silhouette belonged to actor Margaret Qualley, but that rumor was soon quashed when Kutsuna was revealed instead. But now, this new image has got people wondering who it could be, with the frontrunner being a certain Death Stranding star: Léa Seydoux
The French actress might just be the last piece of the puzzle, and you’d have to say that the resemblance between the pictures is uncanny – fans are even pointing out very specific shared details between the two faces. It leaves us asking so many questions still though: if this is to be Léa Seydoux, does this mean that Death Stranding 2 will be happening? Or is it more in line with the Xbox project that we know Kojima is working on? We could potentially be getting Overdose for Xbox and Death Stranding 2 for PlayStation; now wouldn’t that be something?
There will always be a rumor and an assumption or two when things are as cryptic as this is, and that’s part of the fun, right? It was only recently that a few logos were revealed via another tweet, and it seemingly got everyone to jump on the Death Stranding 2 hype train. But logos are just logos at the end of the day, and they’ve been a constant in Kojima games since the very beginning. All we can do right now is sit patiently and wait for any further news regarding the Death Stranding 2 actor and any other game news.
