Steam has launched a Lunar New Year sale, commemorating the start of the Year of the Monkey this February 8. The sale will run until this Friday, February 12, at 10 AM PDT. You can check out highlighted games on sale in the Steam frontpage on your Steam client, or on your browser here.
As Valve has now made the default, they are no longer doing flash sales, in lieu of putting everything on sale for the entirety of the sale period. They are instead highlighting certain games that are on sale on the frontpage. A staggering 9,235 games are now on sale, including many very recent releases, such as Rainbow Six Siege (now with trading cards), and bundles, like the Total War franchise.

H1Z1 – 25% off
Grand Theft Auto V – 33% off
Rust – 50% off
Undertale – 20% off
Elite Dangerous – 50% off
Rocket League – 35% off
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – 25% off (including trading cards)
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt – 57% off
Transistor – 75% off
There are also new sections for easy access to New Releases, Games in your language, Recently Updated, and your account Wishlist, so you can quickly check what games you can now get at a discount. GOGcom and Humble have had this last, simple feature on their websites for a while now, so it was about time Steam did this as well.
