Patch 2.0 for Destiny is now live and with it comes the new armor shader terminal from which all armor shaders, new or old, can be seen and previewed.
In the video below, YouTube channel Arekkz goes through and previews all of the new shaders on his Hunter class character. The new shaders will not be attainable until The Taken King officially launches next week. The video should give anticipatory Guardians a feel for what the new shaders will look like, but obviously different armor and different character models/classes will affect the final result.
In addition to a new armor shader terminal, patch 2.0 brought with it a preview event for new Crucible multiplayer maps and modes. The event runs from Sept. 8-14 and allows Destiny players to take part in new competitive multiplayer game modes like Rift and Mayhem before they are implemented into the game through The Taken King DLC. After Sept. 14, players will need to purchase The Taken King to continue playing the new Crucible content.
In other Destiny news, former musical composer for Bungie Marty O’Donnell recently won his legal case against Bungie, a fight that took over a year to complete.
What do you think of the new armor shaders? Have you downloaded the new update for Destiny? The Taken King goes live next week on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
