Halo Infinite Datamine Might Have Uncovered A Battle Royale Mode

August 2, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Battle royale is coming to Halo according to some fans.

Halo Infinite is one of the more hyped-up and anticipated video game titles coming this year. We’re nearing the end of 2021 and it looks like the holiday season will bring out the latest Halo installment into the marketplace. However, fans have been diving into the game right now, thanks to the latest flight. If you were not lucky enough to get a spot on the flight, then there’s still plenty of gameplay footage surfacing. However, a new datamine might also give fans something else to look forward to.

A recent datamine uncovered a voice file that has the announcer calling out a battle royale game mode. That has plenty of fans excited that perhaps this next installment will eventually feature this popular game mode. However, there’s plenty of room to be skeptical. Fans might be excited but there’s no confirmation yet. We don’t know if this game mode will come out or not. This very well could be a voice-over file recorded to be on the safe side. Perhaps 343 Industries wanted to cover their bases in case they opted for a battle royale mode.

All we can do right now is wait for confirmation on this game mode. There’s still plenty of interest in the multiplayer aspect of Halo Infinite. The first big flight for this game and it’s centered around multiplayer. As a result, we have new gameplay footage to check out online. We’ve even found some new details about the game through this flight. For instance, we know that active camo will allow players to run without showing up on motion trackers. Likewise, there’s also been the discovery of players being able to punch without equipping a weapon.

As mentioned, we’re speculating that Halo Infinite will be available in time for the holiday season. So far, the video game doesn’t have a release date quite yet. However, Phil Spencer also noted that Halo Infinite should come out within this year’s holiday season despite not having an internal release date yet. Regardless, it will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms when the game does launch.
