Just a few days ago, we spotted an Amazon listing for a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, which allowed people to pre-order it. This, of course, is odd since Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version of the game yet.
But could a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 be in the works as we speak? If Rockstar Senior Animator Ryan Schacter's LinkedIn is anything to go by, that might be an emphatic "yes."
In his LinkedIn profile, Schacter's work experience states that he's working on cutscene animation" for GTA V on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Don't believe me? Here's a screenshot of it (the PC listing has since been taken out as of press time).
While this could very well be a typo and nothing more, the fact that Amazon is accepting pre-orders coupled with Rockstar's non-committal answer of whether there is a PC version of GTA 5 makes me think there's more to this than what they've revealed. In short: I expect a Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version to make its way onto store shelves…the only question is when?
Who knows, though? Maybe Rockstar really wasn't planning a PC version of the game but the backing the petition got made them stand up and take notice? This is just conjecture on my part and nothing more.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 in Spring later this year.
