Give those weapons extra heft in ‘Rave in the Redwoods‘ with this complete tutorial explaining every step to reach the customary Pack-A-Punch room.
This time, you’ll have to repair a boat to reach a remote island before collecting film reels that open an extra-dimensional portal that leads straight into the secret room. It sounds complicated, but it’s actually pretty easy — easier than some previous P-A-P rooms, at least. Check out the step-by-step instructions below to reach it for yourself.
The Pack-A-Punch is your one-stop-shop for upgraded weaponry in each and every Zombies map. Last time, for Zombies in Spaceland, players needed to flip all the Power Switches to activate a portal to the secret room. In previous maps, you’d have to summon (and capture) alien Apothicons, or fly a dragon, or… look, they’re always complicated. Be thankful this one isn’t too difficult.

How to Unlock the Pack-A-Punch
Like every Zombies map, the Pack-A-Punch is hidden away in an area you can’t normally reach. To unlock Turtle Island (and the Pack-A-Punch Room) there are two sets of items you’ll need to collect: 3 Boat Parts, and 2 Film Reels.
- Step #1: Turn on the Power
- Before you can actively explore the Camp, you’ll need to turn on the Power. The generator switch is located in the Old Hudson Mine. Look for a room following the lower path, near a zombie strung-up on a wooden wheel.
- Step #2: Get 3 Boat Parts
- There are three Boat Parts to collect. Finding all three and installing them on the broken boat will repair it, allowing you to reach Turtle Island.
- [There may be more boat part locations. We’ll update with more as we find them.]
- Part #1: Mess Hall — Look on the middle pillar with the trash bin.
- Part #2: Spawn Lodge — From the Power Switch, go up to the second floor and cross the balcony to reach the adjacent room. As you enter, look on the right-hand wall to spot this part.
- Part #3: Recreation Area — Look on the white canvas booth near the central rave statue.
- Take the parts to Bear Lake and reach the boat house to find the busted ship. Place all three parts to repair it, and interact to ride to Turtle Island.
- Step #3: Get 2 Film Reels
- The Projector that teleports you to the Pack-A-Punch Room is available on Turtle Island, but you’ll need to connect 2 Film Reels to get the projector working.
- Film Reel #1: Bear Lake — The first film roll is just outside the boat house doors, before riding the boat to Turtle Island.
- Film Reel #2: Turtle Island — Ride the boat to Turtle Island, then go up to the building on the hill. Turn left to find a bonfire. Nearby, next to an old laundry machine, look for the film roll on the ground.
- The Projector is on a desk in the interior building right next to Film Reel #2. Hook up the film then enter the open portal to access the Pack-A-Punch Room.
- The Projector that teleports you to the Pack-A-Punch Room is available on Turtle Island, but you’ll need to connect 2 Film Reels to get the projector working.
- Step #4: Enjoy the Pack-A-Punch!
- The Pack-A-Punch is now available. It costs 5,000 points to upgrade a single weapon, but it is absolutely worth it if you’re planning on surviving into the late rounds.
That’s every step you’ll need. For an in-depth video guide, check out this tutorial by Random Chievo’s on Youtube.
