Infinite Warfare: Rave in the Redwoods – How to Turn on Power

January 31, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On PC, PS4 & Xbox One: The first step to every Zombies map is finding the power switch. So, here’s how to turn up the juice on ‘Rave in the Redwoods’.

Give power to the (undead) people with this quick guide explaining where to go and what to do to get all the precious power you need for Rave in the Redwoods. The first DLC Zombies map available for Infinite Warfare takes our quartet of protagonists to a kinda-of Camp Crystal Lake affair, with drug-hallucinations and neon rave paint splattered over most every surface. If you want to survive for long, the first step is always activating the power. The trick is in finding it.

In the previous map, Zombies in Spaceland, players were forced to spread out to locate every hidden power switch — with one hidden power switch per section of the park. After activating all the switches, a special teleportation machine activated in the center, giving everyone access to the Pack-a-Punch machine. If only the Pack-a-Punch were so simple this time around, but in a nice twist, there’s only one Power Switch to find this time. See where it is with the rave-tastic guide below.

How to Turn on Power

Unlike the separate power switches available in Zombies in Spaceland, there is only one power generator you’ll need to activate to charge up the perk machines in Rave in the Redwoods. It isn’t even that hard this time around.

  • Power Switch Location Guide:
    1. From Spawn, open the door that leads to the Thunderbird Amphitheater (750 points).
    2. Continue into the Adventure Course (1000 points) and jump over the gap in the bridge to reach the Recreation Area / Archery Range.
    3. Enter the Recreation Area (1250 points) and go toward the Old Mine (1500 points).
    4. In the Old Marvin Mine, follow the path down into a small concrete room with a zombie stuck to a wooden wheel in the corner.
    5. The Power Switch is here — simply flip it to activate power for the entire map.
  • Alternative Power Switch Directions:
    1. You can also leave the interior Spawn door to reach the Mess Hall (750 points) instead.
    2. Go up to the Camp Wolf cabins area (1250 points) and follow the “Power” pointers.
    3. Follow the pointers to clear the debris to the Old Marvin Mine (1250) exterior, and purchase again to get through the debris blocking the interior.
    4. Follow the minecart tracks down into the room with the Power Switch against the back wall, next to the zombie wheel knife-throwing game.

Turning on power activates certain locked doors and allows you to use perk machines or traps. Not a bad deal — it’s also the first step of any major Easter egg, so this is always your first goal.

There are two routes to the Power Switch, and both will cost the exact same amount of points. Neither are faster than the other. Just watch for the beam of light, signifying where the Magic Wheel is located. That’s the direction you’ll want to go.
