Pokemon GO: Full List of Level-Up Rewards

Want to know what you’ll get for earning all those levels in Pokemon GO? Now we (mostly) know with a list of requirements and rewards up to level 20 in the massively successful augmented-reality exploration app.

This isn’t about Pokemon levels — no, this is all about the unlockables connected to your trainer level. Your ‘global’ trainer account is completely disconnected from the Pokemon, and by gaining levels you’ll earn tons of unlockable rewards. At Level 5 you’ll get to take part in Gym battles and join one of the three teams. Further milestones unlock new Pokeballs or potions, eventually allowing you to grab upgraded items from Pokestops.

One unmentioned bonus are the higher CP Pokemon you’ll find in the wild. One strategy is to save all your Candy / Stardust and wait until you’re high level. That way you can catch high CP Pokemon naturally, then boost them with your saved stat-improving items. List of Level-Up Rewards

Leveling up in Pokemon: GO is all about earning XP. There are a few ways to earn trainer XP; capturing Pokemon in the wild, or evolving Pokemon from one stage to the next.
