Table of Contents[Hide][Show]
Hades 2 is almost overflowing with resources. When you are not slaying enemies and overcoming impossible bosses, you are filling your pack with a plethora of tidbits. Whether you are slamming your pick into a rock, dredging up some driftwood, or picking flowers, there’s always something worth scavenging.
This all makes sense within the context of Hades 2, of course. Melinoe is a witch, and witches like to cobble things together in a geet-big pot. This does make the game a bit grinder than Hades 1, that’s neither here nor there. In this guide we will go over every resource in Hades 2, and where to find them.
Note: Do be aware that Hades 2 is still in Early Access, so anything and everything is subject to change.

Erebus
The first area in the game, Erebus is full of resources you will need for early-game incantations. Most weapons can also be crafted using materials found in Erebus, which is a nice touch.
- Cinder – Reward for defeating Headmistress Hecate
- Moly – Flower scattered around Erebus
- Silver – Found in ore veins. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Nightshade Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Oceanus
The second area in Hades 2. This watery domain is filled with powerful enemies who love to launch AOE attacks. Many materials found in Oceanus are used in early/mid-game recipes.
- Pearl – Reward for defeating Scylla and the Sirens
- Lotus – Flower scattered around Oceanus
- Limestone – Found in ore stacks. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Cattail Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Fields Of Mourning
The third area of Hades 2, and one of the most unique (at least in the Underworld). Large open hubs allow for a degree of exploration. The resources here are harder to find due to the size.
- Tears – Reward for defeating Cerberus
- Myrtle – Flower scattered around Fields Of Mourning
- Glassrock – Found in ore veins. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Wheat Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Tartarus
The final area of the Underworld, and potentially the shortest. If you want to find resources here, you are going to have to go the long way round. Oh, and Chronos is here. Good luck.
- Zodiac Shards – Reward for defeating Chronos
- Shaderot – Flower scattered around Tartarus
- Marble – Found in statues. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Poppy Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
City Of Ephyra
The first area of the surface, and a place you will not progress past for a while. Thankfully, several key resources can be found early in a ‘doomed run’.
- Wool – Reward for defeating Polyphemus
- Moss – Flower scattered around Ephyra
- Bronze – Found in ore veins. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Garlic Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Rifts Of Thessaly
The final area in Hades 2 Early Access. Resources needed for late-game crafts are found here. You are going to jump through a few hoops to get here, however.
- Golden Apple – Reward for defeating Eris
- Driftwood – Stacks scattered around Thessaly
- Iron – Found in ore veins. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Mandrake Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Realm Of Chaos
We almost forgot about Chaos! This guy’s realm is very small and can be accessed via Chaos Wells. It will set you back a small amount of HP, and there is no guarantee of a resource within. These are some of the rarest resources in the game.
- Darkness – A gem that can be picked up from the ground
- Plasma – Found in ore veins. Crescent Pick required to harvest
- Origin Seed – Found in soft patches of dirt. Silver Spade required to harvest
Combat Rewards
You can also get resources from combat rewards when running through Hades 2. These are more universally useful than exploitable resources – and less valuable as a result. You will gather large stockpiles of these as you progress through the game.
- Bones – Currency used at the Wretched Broker at the Crossroads
- Ashes – Primarily used in Incantations and Arcana
- Psyche – Used to upgrade your Arcana cap
That’s all we have on Hades 2 for now. We will add more resources as we discover them. Until then, be sure to check out our other guides for more Hades 2 content.
