The AEW Fight Forever CE-34878-0 Error is making the game unplayable on Playstation consoles — when loading into an Exhibition Match, this crash error code appears and kicks you back to the PS4 main menu. If you’re struggling with constant crashes, there is a temporary fix that players have discovered by changing the Network Settings. Here’s everything you need to know to stop crashing and start playing.
This is only a temporary solution — you’ll want to make sure your copy of AEW Fight Forever is fully patched to the latest version before changing the Network Settings. Thankfully, the game is fully playable when Offline and won’t hurt your experience too much if you’re looking to play solo or get through the Road To Elite story mode. Hopefully a permanent fix is in the works from the developers and will be released soon. Until then, you can try this community fix.

CE-34878-0 Error | Crash Fix
PS4 players of AEW Fight Forever are experiencing a troubling crash when loading into any type of match. The CE-34878-0 Error isn’t fully understood, but it is a common problem for some early players. A patch should permanently fix this problem soon, but until then, there is a temporary workaround to start playing without crashing your console.
- CE-34878-0 Error | Crash Fix
- If you are experiencing this error, disable ‘Connect To The Internet‘ on your PS4 / PS5.
- To do this, access the Settings (gear symbol) – then to Network -> Settings.
- Toggle off ‘Connect To The Internet‘ to avoid this issue.
The CE-34878-0 error will also randomly occur when saving Custom Wrestlers or when performing a Signature Move. Anything that requires loading can instantly cause your version to crash.
Why Is This A Temporary Fix?
While in Offline Mode, many of the features you’d want will be unavailable. Daily and Weekly Challenges will not be available, as well as all Online Matches from the main menu. You can’t play online with friends or message them through the chat app in the main menu.
You can still access all Exhibition Matches against AI, play local co-op or versus, play mini-games or fight through the Road To Elite. You can create Custom Wrestlers, Custom Arenas, Entrances and more through the Custom tab. There’s plenty of activities to jump into even when you’re offline, but this is still an aggravating concession.
In the coming days / weeks we can only hope an official patch will fix this issue permanently. You can always go back online and check for updates with AEW Fight Forever in the near future. This is a huge problem, so the developers at Yukes should be taking it seriously. For a game that’s much less buggy in general than the WWE 2K games, this crash is still a big deal that’s affecting a huge number of early players.
