Amnesia: The Bunker has many different items and pieces of equipment that aid you in your goal of survival. Some items are needed to progress through the game’s story while others are necessary but provide you with important advantages. One of these items is the Gas Mask. This piece of tactical equipment can turn gas into a great advantage. This guide will show players how to get the Easy Breather Achievement and Trophy by collecting the Gas Mask item in Amnesia: The Bunker.

How To Get The Gas Mask In Amnesia: The Bunker
The Gas Mask is found in Mission Storage along with many other key items that can be collected in Amnesia: The Bunker like the Lighter and Wrench. Just like these two items, the Gas Mask is in a locker that requires a 4-digit code to open. The locker with the Gas Mask is labeled with the name “N. LAVAL.” To get the code for the locker, players will need to find Laval’s dog tag and read the number written on the back.
There are a total of 20 Dog Tags and while they will always spawn in the same locations. Which person the tags belong to is randomized every playthrough (except for specific story-significant tags) along with their codes. Laval is one of these random names. Because of this, his tag is able to spawn on just about any tag across the bunker. Below is a full map of all the dog tag locations.
Referring to the map, Laval’s tag can spawn on just about any of the dots across the bunker. Across 3 playthroughs, I’ve seen the tag spawn at numbers 7, 15, and 17. Others have reported seeing the tag at number 14 as well. These should be the locations that are checked first just in case they spawn there in your game, but getting the right tag does require a little luck. Once Laval’s dog tag is found, check the number on the back to get the code needed for his locker.
So, with the code now known, head back to Mission Storage and enter the numbers into the lock. Once the locker is opened, you can pick up the Gas Mask. When equipped, players can travel through gas clouds created by Gas Grenades. This turns one of the most dangerous obstacles into a great weapon. The Easy Breather Achievement and Trophy will unlock once the Gas Mask is picked up for the first time!
