New locations in Destiny 2 are always – and we mean always – a good time. With new quests to plod through, new landmarks to discover, and new resources to gather, it’s just all-around exciting. Neomuna is one of the best locations to be added to Destiny 2 to date, with its gorgeous neon-infused cityscape and endless swarms of high-level enemies.
Exploring this war-torn planet is well worth the effort though. Not only will you rank up with Nimbus and uncover the secrets of the Shadow Legion, but you will have an ideal opportunity to hit up some key locations marked on your map. The most immediately gratifying being the Neomunan Region Chests.

What Are Regional Chests?
Unlike regular chests that spawn every few minutes in any given region, Regional Chests are a once-and-done affair. These will never respawn, they don’t appear on your HUD (even with the relevant mods), and they grant far more lucrative rewards than your standard chest. Not only that, but several quests tie into them, so nabbing them early benefits you across the board.
Whilst not marked on your HUD, they are marked – roughly – on your Map. These are marked as ‘+’. Once a Regional Chest is opened, the map marker is removed from your Map.
Where To Find All The Regional Chests In Zephyr Concourse
Each Region in Destiny 2 is split into large open areas connected by linear highways and footpaths. Each area in a Region is named, and splitting your exploration into these areas will help give you attainable short-term goals. Going in all at once can be a bit overwhelming – especially when you consider how powerful enemies are in Neomuna. We aren’t kidding when we say that even hitting the Soft Cap of 1750 is not enough to survive a prolonged outing.
Chest #1 Location
The first chest is the closest to Strider’s Gate, and therefore is the logical starting point. The moment you enter Zephyr Concourse, look to your left. You will see a balcony with some trees adorning the corners. Jump up there.
From this location, turn around to face the direction you came. Look slightly to see some glass panes jutting out at an angle. Jump onto these.
Next, turn around again and jump onto the roof of the balcony you just came from. You will see the Regional Chest on this roof, waiting to be cracked open.
Chest #2 Location
The second chest we advise going for is on the west side of Zephyr Concourse and is probably the most awkward to figure out without a guiding hand. The chest itself is very easy to find. Simply head to the map marker and check the windows on the second floor. The chest will be behind some unbreakable glass with no way of entering.
Eagle-eyed players will notice a vent leading into the room. To get to this vent, you are going to have to jump down to the floor below and look for a window that is broken. We found this very difficult to see on PS5 as the broken segment blended almost seamlessly into the unbroken window at certain angles. If you are having trouble finding the crack, then look for the vent – that will be the window you are trying to enter. The crack is to the right of this vent.
Climb through the vent and open the Regional Chest. One more to go.
Chest #3 Location
The final Regional Chest is a bit more mundane than the one before. Head to the marker on the southeast side of Zephyr Concourse and make your way to the map marker – or as close as you can get. Check your Map frequently to help you navigate to the right location.
The Regional Chest is located in an easy-to-reach but hard-to-spot location. Once you are at the location on your map, you will find yourself facing a ledge over a bottomless pit. Look down, and you will see a suspicious ledge jutting out of the wall below you, with a mysterious hole in the wall. Hop onto this ledge and grab the final Regional Chest.
