Remnant: From The Ashes is a Souls-like with a sense of humor. You don’t often see straight-up Easter eggs or references in these games, but Redditor u/hudsonTV has shared a big one. Found in a random dungeon, there’s a message stating that “Only The Penitent Man Shall Pass” — fans of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will recognize this line, and they’ll know exactly how to solve this little puzzle.
Completing the Easter egg reveals a hidden room with a special secret Amulet inside. The Amulet, called ‘Leto’s Amulet’, reduces Armor Encumbrance by 40% and Stamina Cost by 10%. It’s a great item, and it’s located right at the start of the game — if you’re lucky.
Before we continue, here’s a very quick warning. Not every Earth is created equal in Remnant: From The Ashes. Each world is randomly generated, so if you don’t see this message, it might not appear for your particular instance. It’s totally random, which means it might be impossible to collect this particular amulet. Cross your fingers, and I’ll explain in more detail below.

Found in the first Sewers dungeon, one of the randomly-generated dungeons on Earth located before the first boss, it’s possible to find a clever little Indiana Jones Easter egg.
At the end of the dungeon, you might find a message written in white paint on one of the walls — “Only the Penitent Man Shall Pass” — which is the first trial Indiana Jones must face in the Grail Temple at the end of the movie. To solve the trap, all you have to do is crouch.
It’s exactly the same as the film, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and completing this little trick makes an illusory wall disappear. Crawl under, and you can collect the rare ‘Leto’s Amulet’ item — equip it for lower your Armor Encumbrance by 40% and Stamina Cost by 10%. Not a bad prize for a budding adventurer.
