We Happy Few: 18 Tips To Help You Escape Wellington Wells | Beginner’s Guide

August 12, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Explore the secrets of Wellington Wells with a few helpful beginner tips. Here are18 things you should probably know before hopping into We Happy Few.

#5: The Basics Of A Healthy Diet

We Happy Few is hardly a survival sim, but watching your food and water intake is important. You need sleep, food and water in We Happy Few, and going too long with none will severely cripple your stamina. Stamina is used for running and fighting, so keeping your stamina charged is very important for any situation.

  • Don’t bother picking up rotten food. Eating rotten food is worse than no food at all — later, you’ll get a sick tea that’ll make you throw up, curing you of food poisoning. Probably better to just avoid it.

If you’re looking for an easy, free food source — go to wastrel territory and search for blue flowers. These can be consumed flat for a quick hunger boost. Water is another valuable resource. All the water in citizen, bobby-controlled areas is spiked with joy. If you want fresh water, go to the wastrel zones.

#6: Lockpicks, Healing Balms & Other Important Items

Lockpicks and Healing Balm are two of the most important items in We Happy Few. You’ll need an endless amount of lockpicks, and you can use them up pretty fast. You need Bobby Pins for Lockpicks and Metal Bits for Jimmy Bars. Thankfully, Jimmy Bars can be used multiple times in a row. Not so for lockpicks. Search trash cans in citizen areas or debris piles in wastrel zones for an easy source of bobby pins.

  • Dig Spots: For a fast infusion of useful items, crack open safes and you’ll almost always locate a dig spot document. Take a shovel to dig up the treasure at the dig spot. Shovels have a duel-purpose — you can shovel up treasure with them, or bash in faces.

Along with bobby pins, always be on the lookout for red flowers. Red flowers can be used to craft Healing Balms — and if you explore far into the reaches of Eel Pie Holm, you’ll find plenty more red plants you can harvest for an endless supply of healing items. If you’re running low, fast travel back to Eel Pie and harvest dozens of red flowers. You only need two to craft up a healing item. Red bushes are also found in back alleys in the civilized areas like Maidenholm.
