#7: Manage Your Inventory With Pneumatic Storage
It’s easy to go overboard and accidentally collect too many things in We Happy Few. The effects of being overburdened are harsh. Your movement speed drops to a crawl. You’re so slow, you absolutely must drop a heavy item to keep playing. That’s where the Pneumatic Storage comes in.
The Pneumatic Storage chamber is a shared inventory that appears in all of the hatch hideouts on the map. You can place items in for safe keeping. Crafting tables will source any items in the Pneumatic Storage, so you don’t have to drag them out of your personal inventory. I recommend starting with weapons. You only need to carry a handful of weapons in your inventory. Put the rest away.
#8: Beware The Night
Night is when bad things happen. Darkness falls, and Wellington Wells becomes extremely dangerous. Regular citizens go to sleep in their homes, and enemies start to appear. In wastrel zones, bandits walk the roads and will attack you on sight. In citizen-areas, the even tougher Bobbies search the streets — sometimes with Jubilators or Doctors. They all attack you on-sight.
The plague-areas are the worst. At night, plague-victims will spawn randomly, looking for someone to infect. Plague Victims are like Bobbies — tougher than Bandits, and not-so-easy to defeat in combat. Better to avoid them all. Better yet, you can find a comfy bed to sleep in until morning.
