Having some trouble with a boss in Splatoon 2? The campaign in the sequel to the much beloved Splatoon video game has brought in a variety of bosses to take on throughout your journey. While it’s always great going in and taking down a boss in the dark, sometimes it really helps to have some insight before the battle begins.

There are three parts when dealing with Octostomp though each is relatively easy to deal with.
Part 1
The first part of this battle is incredibly simple. All you have to do is dodge the Octostomp from his slam and fire ink on one of the sides to climb up and attack the tentacle on his back.
Part 2
The second part is a bit tricky as Octostomp will have an extra coat to use as a defense before you can spray ink on him. To get rid of this coat, you have to attack the black clip on the front of his face, though you’ll have to do this while avoid his machine gun fire.
Once the clip is knocked off you’ll have to dodge his slam and repeat the same process as you did for the first part of this battle.
Part 3
The third and final part is, for the most part, the same as part 2 just with the added face on the Octostomp. Focus on taking out the black clip and then repeat the process as you did for the first part which will also mark as the last hit required to defeat Octostomp.
