Having some trouble with a boss in Splatoon 2? The campaign in the sequel to the much beloved Splatoon video game has brought in a variety of bosses to take on throughout your journey. There are three parts when dealing with Octo Samurai and for the most part, it’s all about timing as this boss can be relatively quick.

Part 1

At the very start of this battle, the Octo Samurai will quickly maneuver around the map so it’s best that you also move around. Keep moving until the boss deals an area attack as this will be your moment to deal a few hits but don’t get too greedy.

After being hit, Octo Samurai will try and run you down which means you’ll need to dodge and go in for another few hits. At this point, Octo Samurai should have his tentacle available for you to attack and begin the second part of this boss battle.

Part 2

For the second portion of this battle, you’re still going to keep the same strategy though you’ll find that the Octo Samurai will deal an even bigger area attack. Keep your distance and move in for the attacks afterward.

After the boss takes a few hits, he’ll go down once again leaving the tentacle available to attack freely thus allowing players to move onto the third and final part to this boss battle.

Part 3

Once again, the same strategies apply for the third and final part of this battle. The only difference is that the Octo Samurai will add a new attack which will spray three ink rows which can be avoided if you continue to move around the boss.

Attack him when he’s not dealing his area attacks and then hit the tentacle once more in order to bring the boss down completely.
