Splatoon 2: All Abilities Listed | Walkthrough Guide

Every ability available in Splatoon 2.

For a number of gamers, Splatoon 2 will be their first experience with the Splatoon franchise. The initial release of the series was met with praise though, with few adopters of the Nintendo Wii U, only a small portion of gamers had their hands on a copy.

Now that the Nintendo Switch is doing incredibly well with units quickly flying off the store shelves, we’re bound to see a flood of new players to the Splatoon series enter game matches online. If you’re a new player to the series or if you’re a veteran, take a look at the various abilities you may come across in the video game down below.

Splatoon 2 Abilities Listed

  • Ink Saver
    • Reduces amount of ink your main weapon will consume.
  • Ink Save
    • Reduces amount of ink your sub weapon will consume.
  • Ink Recovery Up
    • Increases the rate it takes your ink-tank to fill.
  • Run Speed Up
    • Increases movement speed.
  • Swim Speed Up
    • Increases movement speed when in Squid form.

  • Speed Charge Up
    • Increases rate it takes to fill Special Gauge.
  • Special Saver
    • Reduces penalty of Special Gauge when splatted.
  • Quick Respawn
    • Reduces Kill Cam respawn time.
  • Quick Super Jump
    • Increases the speed of Super Jump.
  • Sub Power Up
    • Increases sub-weapon competence.

  • Ink Resistance Up
    • Improve walking through enemy ink with along with reduction of enemy ink damage.
  • Bomb Defense Up
    • Take less damage from blasts, sub weapons, and special weapons.
  • Cold-Blooded
    • Reduces the active time of enemy Point Sensors and Ink Mines.
  • Opening Cambit
    • Increase speed for both inkling and squid forms during last 30 seconds of gameplay.
  • Last-Ditch Effort
    • Increase ink recovery and weapon competence during last 30 seconds of gameplay.

  • Tenacity
    • Automatically have Special Gauge filled if your team has fewer players than enemy.
  • Comeback
    • Increases abilities for a brief amount of time after respawn.
  • Ninja Squid
    • Reduces swim speed but allows no trance of swimming.
  • Haunt
    • Previous enemy takedown position will be revealed.
  • Thermal Ink
    • Track distant players after being hit with your primary weapon.

  • Respawn Punisher
    • Increase respawn time and special-gauge penalty for you and players who have splatted you.
  • Ability Doubler
    • Increases effect of gear abilities.
  • Stealth Jump
    • Hides Super Jump landing point.
  • Object Shredder
    • Boosts damage against non-player targets.
  • Drop Roller
    • Perform a roll after a Super Jump.
