Evil Within 2: All Files, Slides & Memories Locations | Chapter 5 Collectibles

Grab a bunch more files and memories in Chapter 5 of The Evil Within 2 with these collectible locations. Unlike Chapter 4, Chapter 5 has a good amount of extra collectibles that are pretty easy to miss. Mostly files, but there is one residual memory you can collect from the gazebo outside the City Hall. The Evil Within 2 follows Sebastian Castellanos, former detective and alcoholic, forced back into the STEM by a shadowy corporation called Mobius. Yet another STEM experiment has gone wrong — a machine designed to create cognitive worlds. The world is falling apart, filled with nightmare monsters and serial killers, and Sebastian’s daughter is at the center of the madness. It’s going to be one long night.

All Files, Slides, Memories & Object Locations | Chapter 5

There are three types of collectibles we’re covering here in The Evil Within 2 — files, photographic slides, and residual memories. Find all the locations for each type, divided by Chapter, in the guide below.

Coffee Maker #3: Don’t forget to drink a cup of coffee at the safe house at the start of Chapter 5.
Residual Memory #9: Investigate the gazebo (it looks like a circle near the safe house) to find a nearby memory.
File #17: Found on the dead body near the barbed wire, beside the first guardian location. This collectible might not be missable.
File #18: Enter the City Hall through the front door and run past the lobby. Turn right and move through the hallway until you reach a lit-up office. Go inside to find the file on a desk.
File #19: On the second floor of City Hall, gain access to the back of the puzzle hallway. When apporaching the back, look to the left for a table with a note.
File #20: Later, you’ll have to enter an office with kind of a red-hue. There’s a file you can collect on the desk.
File #21: In the nightmarish room with frozen bodies, circle until you find the white double doors. There’s a table to the left with a file.
File #22: After defeating the second boss in Chapter 5, exit to the balcony and turn left. Kick open the double doors to another office with a file on the desk.
