The Last of Us Season 2 Official Trailer Is Finally Here

March 10, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

A sneak peek before the season drops next month.

There is plenty of hype built around next month for The Last of Us fans. We know that the second game is finally arriving on the PC platform. Likewise, just this past week, Sony revealed a new DualSense controller themed around the iconic IP. However, we also know that HBO is getting ready to release The Last of Us season 2.

When it was first released, this show quickly gained worldwide attention. That was a bit of a shocker. Normally, we don’t see solid adaptations from video games hitting the big screen, especially on TV. But the production team, which also had help from Naughty Dog themselves, pulled it off. Season one captivated audiences with this incredible post-apocalyptic storyline, and it left them yearning for more at its season conclusion.

Fortunately, HBO greenlit the second season not long into the first, so we all knew the story would continue. The new season drops next month, and today, we have a new trailer to check out. It’s what HBO is calling the official trailer for the upcoming season. If you’re looking to get a little more than a sneak peek of the new season then you can check out the new season trailer below.

Of course, if you haven’t been keeping tabs on the production, don’t go into this season expecting the full story from The Last of Us Part II. Instead, The Last of Us season 2 will only contain a portion of that storyline since that game was just so massive to begin with. We’re unsure how long it will take to complete the narrative, especially if there are deviations from the game. A previous comment from HBO EVP suggested that we might see this series continue for a couple more seasons, but there’s no planned end game yet.

Meanwhile, players interested in seeing more video games from this franchise won’t want to hold their breath. A previous comment from Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann says don’t bet on The Last of Us Part III. As a reminder, The Last of Us season 2 will arrive on April 13, 2025.
