Fans have waited what felt like ages to receive Alan Wake 2. It was a hard game to get into production, but when Remedy Entertainment finally did, it was released to a positive reception. The developers also took a different route with this gameplay experience, as players were getting a survival horror game rather than an action game with horror elements. Now, with the latest PlayStation 5 Pro console platform out, Alan Wake 2 fans are finding that the game has a few issues that need to be ironed out.
This is not a new issue that is raising alarms for the PlayStation 5 Pro. We’ve seen a few games get highlighted online as running poorly on the PlayStation 5 Pro compared to the standard PlayStation 5. Developers have been working to clear out these issues. One example we can point to is Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake. The game was a huge hit, but problems were found on the PlayStation 5 Pro. That has since been resolved with a new patch released by the development team.
As for Remedy Entertainment, they are still needing more time to figure out how to resolve the issues plaguing the game from the PlayStation 5 Pro. As noted by VGC, a new patch was recently released for Alan Wake 2 today. This patch would bring the game to 1.2.5. However, the developers have already noted that this doesn’t contain anything for the PlayStation 5 Pro, as it’s expected that the team will need more than a few weeks to make the necessary changes and improvements.
That’s at least reassuring that the developers are aware of the issues some players are facing and are working to resolve them. However, it does add to the collection of games that need to be refined just so that it can run as intended on Sony’s more premium PlayStation 5 console.
