When it comes time to play a game, especially if it’s a fighting game, some don’t mind “winging it” and hoping that they get good quickly so they can face other players, and then there are those who immediately dive deep into the game and its mechanics to ensure they’re ready for a fight. Street Fighter 6 has numerous characters that have various fighting styles and techniques that can take a while to learn. So it helps if there’s a bit of a guide to let you know how to do things. Capcom is getting ready for the release of the Terry Bogard DLC, and they dropped a “Character Guide” to let you know what “The Legendary Hungry Wolf” is all about.
For example, something that Terry is good at is a natural balance in his moves. As the video below points out, he has both offensive and defensive moves for players to use, and they’re rather easy to use, just like his special attacks. He’s also known for his anti-air attacks and projectiles that he can throw. If that’s not enough for you, he’s also not afraid to rush in with some of his attacks so he can get close to his opponents.
By using Terry’s skills to get close to your foe, you can unleash some combos to do incredible damage and break through any guards that your opponent has up. So, if you can do these moves properly, you can do serious damage before your opponent knows what hit them.
Terry’s “Power Wave” ability is one of his most iconic moves, and Street Fighter 6 has it featured in multiple forms. The smallest form is the fastest and can catch your foe off guard and knock them off of certain rhythms they’re setting up. The medium version is slower, but it can stop projectiles, and it does more damage. The most powerful version is also slower, but it packs a much bigger punch, can hit your foe multiple times, and Terry can use it as a kind of shield as he walks toward enemies! That’s a lot of versatility in a single move!
Round Wave, Quick Burn, Burning Knuckle, and more of Terry Bogard’s moves are highlighted in the guide below. It’s a little over 8 minutes long, but it really showcases what Terry’s moves can do, and Terry himself helps guide you on how to use him properly!
The Terry Bogard DLC arrives later this fall.
