There is never any shortage when it comes to various rumors and leaks in the video game industry. We have big events that roll out each year, and we know there are planned world premiere reveals and announcements for them. However, there are also smaller bite-sized events, such as Sony PlayStation’s State of Play. A new rumor suggests a big reveal is planned next week before Sony’s scheduled State of Play event.
A new rumor from online leaker Lunatic Ignus has revealed that they heard a big reveal is coming next week. There’s no indication as to what this reveal will entail. However, it was noted that this reveal would come before the next State of Play. This State of Play is expected to arrive between September 19 and September 20, later this month. So it would be really interesting to see just if there is a big reveal that is separate from the State of Play from the folks over at Sony. We’re learning about this through Reddit, which credits Lunatic Ignus’ Discord server.
We don’t have any indication just yet as to when the next Sony PlayStation State of Play will officially drop. Likewise, we’re still waiting to hear if a planned reveal is coming next week, which would be its own separate thing. A lot of chatter online is suggesting that maybe we’re finally going to get that PlayStation 5 Pro reveal and this event next week would be a breakdown of the new console model with a line of games being showcased at State of Play the following week.
But again, take this as nothing more than a rumor. We’re waiting for official news to emerge, much like Lunatic Ignus’ previous statements on Black Myth: Wukong set to receive two DLCs. Perhaps we’ll even learn more about that during this supposed upcoming State of Play.
