Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is headed to PC and current-gen consoles this October, and Goku’s voice actor Sean Schemmel has some good news for Dragon Ball GT fans. The talent has confirmed that he recently recorded dialogue for Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 transformation, implying that more GT content will appear in the fighting game.
Schemmel made the comments during a Dragon Ball panel at Anime Riverside, in which he discussed the difficulty of remembering the different subtleties in each of Goku’s transformations.
“I didn’t realize that subtly changing the voice for every single form was going to bite me in the ass later. And so keeping track of all that for Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan 3, God Mode red hair… and it’s all real subtle differences,” he said.
During Summer Game Fest, fans got their first look at the game’s Custom Battle mode, which allows players to recreate their favorite battles from the Dragon Ball universe and share them with other players around the world.
Over 160 characters and forms will be included in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, with previously announced characters including Burter, Dyspo, Hit, Jeice, Kakunsa, Master Roshi, Nappa, Super Saiyan Broly, Super Saiyan Kale, Super Trunks, and Toppo.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be released on October 11, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players pre-ordering the game will have access to the following characters without needing to unlock them in the game: Gogeta, Gogeta, Super Saiyan, Gogeta Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, Broly, Broly, Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Broly, Full Power.
