Persona 3 Reload Drops Trailer For “Lone Wolf”

December 6, 2023 by Todd Black

He’s not asleep.

UPDATE

Will you have the “lone wolf” in your party? Or will you choose someone else to battle with? Let us know below!

ORIGINAL STORY

If you haven’t noticed, Persona 3 Reload has been doing its best to highlight the many members of the S.E.E.S. team that you’ll get to team up with in your journey to Tartarus next year. The latest trailer shows off the “delinquent” of the ground in Shinjiro, who can easily be one of your greatest allies if you’re willing to get to know him better. When you first look at him, you’ll think he’s nothing more than a “criminal tough guy that you’re forced to work with,” but that’s not the case. He’s actually rather gentle; he’s just been hurt a lot.

Without going into too many spoilers, Shinjiro’s past is a dark one, and that would eventually lead to him getting a Persona and using it to help the others in the S.E.E.S. group. Not everything goes as planned, and Shinjiro’s faith wavers sometimes, but he keeps fighting, which is all you can ask of him. The trailer does highlight some of his softer tendencies, such as how he has a fun connection with the team’s dog mascot. But when some of the others come into play? He’s more than willing to pretend he’s asleep so that they don’t bother him.

In battle, he wields the Persona called Castor, and he has a sledgehammer that can do massive damage. Castor can also power him up to have better stats in the fight. In the remake, he’ll be voiced by Justice Slocum. Check out his reveal trailer below:

For those still on the fence about Persona 3 Reload, there’s plenty for you to enjoy if you give it a shot. The modern generation console ports indeed came out earlier in 2023, but those were the “low-poly” versions based on the PSP entry. This is a full-on remake in almost every way. They’ve streamlined the multiple versions of the story so that it’ll tell a single powerful version. They’ve overhauled the graphics to resemble the style of the 5th entry without losing the coloring and visual appeal it had before.

They’ve brought in new voice actors to give new life to the characters, they’ve overhauled the U.I. so it oozes style, and so much more. According to the team behind the title, this game saved the franchise and even Atlus. They’ve been riding high on the franchise for a while, so they want players to see how special this game is in a whole new light.
