Are you ready? No, we mean it. Are you ready? Because tomorrow is the release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2! The game has been highly anticipated for years, and gamers are very eager to see what happens with the title and what secrets await them as they roam around an upgraded version of New York City. There will be numerous things for gamers to partake in, so being bored won’t exactly be something you hear quite often. However, one important feature that many will want to check out once again is the photo mode, which is back and better than ever.
At first, you might not think that the photo mode would be something that players would be interested in versus, say, the boss fights, web-slinging, side adventures, etc. But the beauty of this franchise’s photo mode is that it allows you to capture moments in midair, do poses while in your various spider suits, and so on. Gamers loved showing off their best aerial moments, their “perfectly placed shots,” and which spider suit they were wearing at the time. On the PlayStation Blog, they highlighted some tips and tricks for gamers to check out about the sequel’s photo mode.
For example, if you want, you can create a shortcut button to get there whenever you want:
“Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 lets you assign shortcuts to certain menu options by mapping them to either the left or right D-Pad button. You can equally tap the Options button to call up the pause menu and scroll down to and activate Photo Mode there.”
Like before, once you enter photo mode, you can change things around you via your controller and create the perfect shot. You can turn enemies invisible, do things with the lens to focus the shot, or spin the camera around to get the perfect angle.
You can also activate different modes to help ensure you get the perfect shot. You can even slow down the animation speed so that you can get your favorite Spider-Man in the best position so you can take the shot:
“You can use artificial lighting to increase the intensity, infer game world lighting to still highlight characters that’d otherwise be in shadow, or make your photo both more natural and moody.”
So you best be ready to snap photos like you’re Peter Parker because when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases, you will want to prove to everyone that you can take the best pictures of Spider-Man!
