Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Now Has An Action-Packed Launch Trailer

August 22, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Check out the latest footage right here.

During last year’s The Game Awards, it was surprising that Armored Core was returning. FromSoftware unveiled an announcement trailer highlighting Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon to fans worldwide. As we approach the game’s release date, marketing materials for the title have started flooding the internet. Today, a brand new launch trailer was released, giving you more footage to watch before the game is officially available. If you haven’t already caught the latest upload, you can view the video embedded below.

The launch trailer offers a bit more insight into the narrative if you haven’t already been keeping up with the game since it was first unveiled. We know that in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, we’re following a new narrative centered around a brand new energy source discovery. An energy source called Coral was uncovered in the distant plant of Rubicon 3. However, upon extracting this precious energy source, a catastrophe happened. Now the surrounding star system is engulfed in flames. Still, the pressure to gather this energy source continues to rise, with more corporations duking it out for total control of Coral.

You’ll step into a mercenary Armored Core pilot named C4-621. Taking on odd jobs, you quickly find yourself in the middle of this ongoing battle. If you’re familiar with the Armored Core series, you know that this is quite an action-packed video game. A significant component of this IP is making various adjustments to your mech. Each piece can be tweaked, giving you control over how your mech handles and the firepower it can deliver against your targeted enemies. It might be a bit overwhelming to newcomers, but prepare to spend some time going through different tweaks of your mech as you progress through the campaign.

Last week we also had a new showcase for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The showcase gave players not only a look into an early mission for the campaign but also PvP. Players will get to go through a 1v1 series of matches along with 3v3. Here you will see just how well your mech handles in some competitive fights against other players or teams.

Again, we are nearing the launch date for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Currently, the game is set to launch on August 25, 2023. If you’re picking this title up, you’ll find it available for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. In the meantime, you can check out the latest launch trailer in the video we have embedded below.
