Fortnite Crossover With WWE Dated?

August 15, 2023 by Todd Black

You ready to step into the digital ring?

What is there to say about Fortnite that hasn’t been said before by us or by other writers and content creators? It’s the game that shouldn’t have been a big hit and yet came to define a gaming generation. Even now, years after the game came out, everyone is excited about what it will do next and who might show up in the game. Its “skin game” is legendary for all the right reasons. Regardless of where the franchise is media-wise, Epic Games will find a way to collaborate in some fashion. Fast forward to now, and WWE is apparently on the brink of a big collab with the title.

Long-time gamers will know that Fortnite technically has had a collab with WWE in the past. Specifically, they brought their then-biggest name, John Cena, into the game, complete with his trademark “You Can’t See Me!” move as an emote. Cena has been in Hollywood for a while now, though, so you likely can’t call that a true crossover.

However, a leak states that WWE is ready for round two of their collaboration. According to a source on Twitter, who has been reliable in the past, two of the best female wrestlers in the world will be coming to the game tomorrow, with content creators getting the first crack at them!

The superstars in question are Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch.

Belair has been one of the most dominant women in WWE over the last several years. While her push was slow at first on the main roster, once she got going, she eventually won the Royal Rumble and co-main evented Wrestlemania alongside Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone.

She’s held every belt since on the main roster, is undefeated at Wrestlemania, and had the longest title reign in modern women’s title history.

As for Becky Lynch, she was one of the legendary “Four Horsewomen” of NXT, which was the “developmental brand” for WWE. Once she burst onto the main roster alongside her fellow horsewomen, they slowly took over WWE in many ways. Each of them brought something to the table, but with Becky, she literally took what she felt was hers and then ran with it, becoming “The Man” in the process.

Regardless of their histories, both are worthy additions to the game. Not to mention, both are known for their poses and even dance moves, so we might get some clever emotes with them.

But as in all things, don’t believe the rumors fully until Epic Games gives confirmation.
