AEW Fight Forever Showcases Pre-Order Bonus and Season Pass

June 1, 2023 by Todd Black

A different kind of BROKEN!!!!

Now that AEW Fight Forever has gotten its release date, we’ll find out more about the title’s roster and what special bonuses we’ll receive both before and after its launch. The team had already confirmed that special characters would be available after launch, and they would do a long-term adding of roster members versus always having a new title coming out each year. Today, they dropped a trailer for the pre-order bonuses and revealed the first part of the Season Pass. Would you like to know who’s “all elite”?

We’ll start with the pre-order bonus, which is about to get BROKEN!!!! Because as revealed in the tweet below, if you pre-order the game early, you’ll get not one but two versions of Matt Hardy. That might sound odd to those outside the wrestling business, but there’s a reason. Matt Hardy is a legend in the wrestling game and has made “personas” over the years. But over the last several years, both in AEW and beyond, he adopted a persona known as “Broken” Matt Hardy, where he acts rather uniquely and claims to be possessed by various entities. In AEW, that entity was called “Damascus” and had a big impact early on, including being in the first Stadium Stampede Match.

But if you want to play the regular Matt Hardy, you can do that version as well:

You can now pre-order AEW: Fight Forever! As a pre-order bonus you will get the chance to play as Matt Hardy… or Matt Hardy! Available with digital pre-orders & participating retailers.#AEWFightForever will be released on June 29!#AEWGames pic.twitter.com/AmTZePeWGf

Now, as for the first wave of the Season Pass, you can get it via the AEW Fight Forever Elite Edition or separately, should you so choose. There are three packs confirmed for the Season Pass so far. The first is FTR: Revival Pack, which brings the fan-favorite tag team into the game. That’s a big deal because many weren’t happy that FTR wasn’t in the game from the start, but the tag team let people know they were in it, and now we can confirm that.

The second is the “Limitless Bunny Pack,” which brings in The Bunny for the women’s division and “Limitless” Keith Lee for the men’s division. The Bunny has been in AEW since Day One and has partaken in numerous hardcore matches showcasing her drive. Likewise, Keith Lee was a huge acquisition for AEW and became a tag team champion mere months into his tenure.

Finally, we have the “Hookhausen Very Handsome Very Evil Pack,” which brings in Hook and Danhausen, two of the most unique characters on the roster.

So as you can see, there will be plenty of wrestlers to choose from when the game arrives on June 29th.
