Bungie just wrapped up on their second livestream out of three that details what gamers can expect with the upcoming April update for Destiny. Today the development team went online to show off some of the new weapons and gear that players can grab up. Take a look at our gallery down below for the assets shown off from Bungie’s livestream.
During the livestream event, Bungie showed off the various armor sets for the three in-game factions, one being a more Taken eccentric looking gear set for the Desolate while a new gear set design was made for the Spector, though it’s worth noting that each gear set can be obtainable through a new currency known as Sterling Treasure.
In order to gain all the pieces for the gear, set players will have to collect all the Sterling Treasure which are given out by the Postmaster after completing certain events. Besides, gear sets, Bungie showed off some of the weapons that will be coming soon with the update. This included the Shadow Price, a legendary weapon from Year One along with a new legendary weapon which is stored away within the Prison of Elders.
A new feature known as Chroma was also announced. Through this feature, gamers can customize their armor and weapons by adding a bit of glowing overlay flair, although you’ll need to first collect Chroma which can be done through Sterling Treasure boxes.
Lastly, Infusions have received an overhaul. When the April update rolls out, players can infuse a high-level piece of gear with a lower level piece. Once you infuse the two pieces, the lower level gear will raise to match the higher level piece.
There is one more livestream event that Bungie will hold to further showcase the upcoming April update for Destiny, but for now, gamers can expect the April Update 2.2.0 to roll out on April 12, 2016.
