Call of Duty: Warzone Heads Offline But It Will Make A Return This Month

November 16, 2022 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for a relaunch.

There’s a ton of hype built around today. First, we have the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Players can jump into the game and start working through the different battle pass unlocks or compete against the plethora of other players dropping into the map. However, this date also marks the end of Call of Duty: Warzone. The game was an iconic battle royale title with a massive fan base. But it doesn’t mean that we won’t see this game again. Instead, you can expect a relaunch of the title later on within the month.

Call of Duty: Warzone is heading offline for a short period of time. We can actually mark our calendars for its return on November 28, 2022. That’s not too long of a wait to endure and to top it off, there is Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 out to enjoy. In fact, that seems to be the main reason why the initial Call of Duty: Warzone title was sent offline. It would seem that developers wanted more hands on deck for the smooth launch of the Warzone successor. If things go according to plan, we shouldn’t see any delay announcements for the newly dubbed Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera.

There are also a few changes coming to the relaunch. Mainly we won’t see two maps making a return for the game. Those maps dropped from Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera is Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep. Again, this is just for a short while as the latest Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 gets all the potential kinks worked out as it opens up for the general public to start playing. We have a breakdown right here if you haven’t kept up with what Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will offer.

Overall, there are a few notable changes to the game that players will want to make a note of. In Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, players will get proximity chat, a 2v2 style setup in the Gulag, and even some NPCs to battle against within the map. Of course, there’s also a slew of new weapons, vehicles, operators, and a map to start charting out.

Whether or not you take part in the battle pass, this is a free-to-play video game title, so you don’t have to pay anything to start playing through the game right now. Currently, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is available to download and play on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
