The Pokemon series is known for its special events, and GameFreak and Nintendo love giving out exciting Pokemon as well, and we love to receive them. A cool event recently took place in Europe for Pokemon Sword & Shield, but this month you lucky people of North America will also be able to take part in this event that will be taking place between October and much of November.
In this Pokemon Sword & Shield, players will be able to get their hands on three special Pokemon, they’re not quite legendaries but these mythical Pokemon are as good as. The three Pokemon are Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow. It was reported by Serebii that Genesect and Volcanion will be distributed throughout the US and Canada at GameStop between October 16-19, whereas Marshadow will arrive in time for Halloween and will be available from Target between October 30 and November 12.
About these Pokemon though because they are quite unusual. Genesect is quite the famed Pokemon to be fair, and introductions might not be needed. The cyborg Pokemon has been a fan favorite since the days of Black and White, and the crazy design and back story have long been admired. Volcanion is unique in that it’s a dual Fire/Water type Pokemon and has a Special Attack stat that will make any rival trainer quiver. Marshadow is adorable, but don’t let its looks deceive you because this Fighting/Ghost type – that was introduced in Sun and Moon – packs a very powerful punch indeed.
As we mentioned, Europe has already been treated to this distribution event, which means that North America has a lot of catching up to do. If you’ve been a consistent battler this month and have also noticed that there might be a lot more of these types floating around the arenas, then this is the reason – Europe is one step ahead of you. You may also be aware that Mythical Pokemon have recently been introduced into the competitive circuit, which is a bit of a game-changer.
It has been a busy period in recent times for the Pokemon series, with all the attention on the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, several trailers have been getting released that give fans a little insight into the new games. A recent trailer revealed a new Girafarig evolution called Farigiraf – I don’t know if it’s just us but some of these newer names are lacking a little creativity it seems.
Here’s the most important thing though, the news that you’ve been waiting for: players can bathe their Pokemon, EXP share is set to become a mainstay, the breeding aspect of the game has new mechanics, and you can also craft TMs using resources that you find all around this world.
