Available on the service today, the 2021 medieval multiplayer title Chivalry 2 features hack-and-slash gameplay and a verifiable sea of blood and guts. Developed by Torn Banner Studios, the game equips players with numerous period-accurate weapons, including war hammers, maces, long swords, and battle axes, tasking them with taking on up to 40 players in brawl mode. If that’s not exciting enough, players can also pick up decapitated heads and dismembered limbs to use as weapons instead.
The other heavy-hitter in this slew of releases is A Plague Tale: Requiem, which will be available to play on its release day. The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 title A Plague Tale: Innocence, the narrative will pick up six months after the events of the first game, following Amicia and her younger brother Hugo as they attempt to flee to Provence and survive in a world torn apart by sickness. The upcoming game will feature upgraded combat in comparison to the first game, with Amicia now able to use different weapons rather than relying entirely on stealth.
On October 6, the open-world title Medieval Dynasty will be added to the service, inviting players to step into the shoes of a young man who has fled from war and is desperate to take his future into his own hands. While hunting for food, gathering resources, and fighting the unpredictable elements, it will also be necessary to expand your village.
The absolutely disgusting and skin-crawing horror title Scorn will also be available on release day, October 14. Players will be transported to a lonely world inspired by the works of H.R. Giger where they must find their way through a labyrinth made of what looks like flesh and skin. The game’s developer, Ebb Software, took to Reddit recently, promising that although the trailer looks gross, there won’t be any prolonged exposure to gore. We’re not so sure.

No matter what kind of gamer you are, Xbox Game Pass continues to add high-quality titles from every genre under the sun. It’s an excellent time to test it out, even if only to play the day one titles!
