Over the past several years as a games reporter, when it comes to elaborate gaming rooms, I’ve just about seen it all. There are wonderful things on the Internet and I love the awe that each daily discovery brings, but when it comes to your sick living room set-up, thanks but no thanks. You have a lot of money and creativity and you’ve created a majestic palace dedicated to your video game devotion such as the likes that many of us could never afford, we get it. You may as well be a Mario cake. I’m as jealous as I am bored.
But this? It has managed to blow the dust out of the ancient cartridge that is my heart. Imgur user TylerFullTilt put this together from plywood, paint, and table from Overstock.com, modified to look like an original Nintendo Entertainment System console. It reminds me of that giant NES controller table that was making the rounds a few years ago, also an amazing piece of improvised work (you can make your own for about $100!) There was the massive NES controller made of LEGOS too. Dang, people got some control(ler) issues.
Impressed with what this crafter did with an item from Overstock? Then check out these Fallout themed barstools, made from plain red bottle cap barstools also found on the famous discount lifestyle site.
