Lego Nintendo Entertainment System Officially Unveiled

July 14, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

After the leak, Lego has confirmed the NES kit existence.

The Lego company is iconic and over the years we’ve seen the company worked with so many different IPs. It’s not surprising to see Nintendo be one of the collaborations that Lego decided to work with and already there are some kits available for players to enjoy featuring various courses and characters from the Mario franchise. Of course, with that said, it does look like one of the recent leaks that supposedly showcased an NES theme Lego build kit proved to be real.

Today Lego went ahead and announced the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System kit. It’s a build that will appeal to quite a few generations of gamers but especially those that grew up playing the original Nintendo Entertainment System platform. With this build, you’re able to relive the days of playing the NES on an old CRT TV. Overall, the pack comes with a replica build of a Nintendo Entertainment System console, an NES style video game, a retro CRT TV that will display a Mario course that can mimic being played through a small crank on the side of the TV.

That’s not all, it looks like if you own the 8-bit Mario which came out from the Lego Super Mario Starter Course then you can place him on a designated spot on the TV which will allow Mario to play out the different sound effects and course soundtrack music when you crank the course. After all, the course is filled with blocks, enemies, and power-ups.

We’re not sure if this is the last of Nintendo’s Lego build kits that will be coming out into the market or not but if these kits prove to be popular then we could see even more release into the market. For now, it looks like we will be able to get the kit on August 1, 2020, for $230.
