An idea first conceived in 2014, Thimbleweed Park marked a triumphant return to classic LucasArts adventures. The iconic verb interface UI, low-res friendly pixel art, and wacky characters surely warmed the hearts of point and click fans worldwide. And according to the developers, there was one character who really stole the show — Ransome the Clown.
In Thimbleweed Park, Ransome is the kind of performer who slings verbal profanities left, right, and centre. So naturally, to protect the game’s Teen rating, his more colourful sound bites were censored with a ‘beep’. But if you ever wanted to hear Ransome uncut, unplugged, and completely uncensored, now you can. Terrible Toybox has released a special DLC pack that removes the beep filter and lets you listen to Ransome dish out every single insult under the sun. Take note the video below contains swearing and is NSFW. Enjoy.
Thimbleweed Park – Ransome *Unbeeped* is out now and exclusively available on Steam and GOG for $1.99 USD.
