If you missed out on the Quake Champions closed beta last week, Bethesda has just announced a second round which recently went live. Developed by id Software, Quake Champions is an upcoming FPS that will make the PC its home. In the lead up to its eventual release (which is probably soon, considering the game is in beta) fans have been treated to character trailers starring Nyx, Slash, and Anarki.
Quake Champions was originally announced last June, and will likely be a PC exclusive title because id Software’s Creative Director Tim Willits wants it to maintain a fixed 120Hz resolution. However, Willits’ previous comments suggest otherwise – at E3 2016, he mentioned the company is “not shutting the door on on consoles” entirely, so any players hoping for a PS4 or Xbox One (and perhaps even Nintendo Switch) release shouldn’t give up hope entirely.
Interested players can sign up for the closed beta right here.
