Main Quest 10: The City of the Sun
This mission ends directly after A Seeker at the Gates. You’ll be in quite a large town, so take some time to talk to the locals, requip yourself for the wilds, and mentally prepare yourself for the next stage of your journey. Once you’re ready to go, follow the marker east. Be careful on this road though, as it is filled with creatures you’ve yet to face and that are tougher too (Don’t provoke any Stormbirds!).
The road is long, so you might want to find a mount. Luckily, there are quite a few Broadhead grounds on the way. Grab one and you’ll be set. Since you’re new to the area, it may also be helpful to seek out the Tallneck just south of your path. Once you get there, continue into the city and a cutscene will play.
After the cutscene, follow Erend to Olin’s house. Once you arrive, a cutscene will play and you’ll be able to investigate the house. Use your scanner to scan for clues. On the first floor of the house is a rug, if you examine it, you’ll see that it is locked tight. Go up to the third floor and examine the pallet of ingots. This will allow you to push them over the ledge, breaking the door.
Run back down the stairs and enter the hidden room. Once you enter the room, search for more clues. You’ll find a holopoint, journal, and a map to examine. After examining all the clues, speak with Erend again and he’ll initiate an optional main mission, The Field of the Fallen.
Ignore this for now and head north to the excavation site. Once you get there, keep a low profile, as there are many groups of cultists and machines roaming around. Once you arrive, descend into the mine and a cutscene will play.
During the battle, stick to the upper, outer ledge of the arena. First, use your stealth attacks to take out the archers lining the walls of the area. After they are taken out, use your tear arrows to remove the grenade launcher and the spike launcher from the corruptors. If you stay at the top of the arena, they will have a hard time spotting you, so just keep taking pot shots when you can until they are down. Once one has been disabled, it’ll be safe enough to get down in the arena for a couple silent attacks. Once you’ve defeated all the enemies, claim your loot and then talk to Olin.
