Plants are awesome in Hades 2. Not only can you grow a boatload of them, but they can be found loitering around every region of the game. Once you have them, you can chuck them into a pot and make all kinds of wild magic happen. If you see some funky leaves, you should go out of your way to pick them up.
Whilst not as universally useful as Moly, Deathcap certainly has its place within your herbal roster. It’s slightly rarer, has a completely different purpose within the grander scheme of the game, and is pretty easy to find all things considered. In this guide, we are going to go over all things Dearthcap.
Note: Do be aware that Hades 2 is still in Early Access, so anything and everything is subject to change.

Where To Find Deathcap In Hades 2
Deathcap is a very common resource in Hades 2, although not as common as its regional cousin, Moly. Deathcap is one of the first resources you will find when you are first starting because you can find it in Erebus. Erebus is the first area of the game and the place you will be visiting the most often.
Like with most resources in Hades 2, you cannot find Deathcap anywhere else. It’s Erebus or nothing for this stuff. This also means you can’t buy more from Charon and you can’t trade Bones for it at the Wretched Broker. That being said, some Minor Prophecies on the Fated List will reward you with Deathcap.
Thankfully, Deathcap doesn’t require any specific tools to gather. If you spot a Deathcap, simply walk up and interact with it. You will only get a single Deathcap per spawn, but you don’t need that much anyway. You are likely to find one or two Deathcaps per run in Hades 2.
Or you would if the game wasn’t a little bit tricky. Erebus is the only area in the game that has variable weather conditions. Deathcap will only spawn if it is raining, which means if you are trundling through the woods with a clear sky, you are out of luck. Instead, you will find Moly.
Be sure to use the Reagent Sensing Incantation to track down any Deathcap that spawns.
What Is Deathcap Used For In Hades 2
Deathcap, as of writing, only has one use. Deathcap is for selling and that’s it. It isn’t used in upgrades, Arcana, or Incantations. Simply take it to the Wretched Broker and sell it for Bones. Each Deathcap is worth 15 Bones. This doesn’t sound like a lot, but sell a couple of Deathcaps and you have enough Bones to buy a Nectar (a very useful material).
Because of Deathcap’s limited uses, you are not likely to be blown away when you find one. The Bones are always nice to have though, so it’s still worth picking when you have the chance.
