Noelle is an underrated character in Genshin Impact who deserves more love. At C0, she can double as a Main DPS and a Support. But unlike most Supports, Noelle can both heal and generate shields through both her Elemental Skill and Geo reactions.

If you use Noelle as a Support, focus on leveling up her Elemental Skill first. This is where her main shield and her healing come from. Keep in mind that if you do not have C1 Noelle, her Skill’s healing is not guaranteed. If you use Noelle as a Main DPS, focus on her Normal Attack and Elemental Burst. Her Burst converts all Normal Attacks to Geo DMG and increases her ATK in general.
Combat Talents
Normal Attack – Favonius Bladework
Sayu can perform up to 4 consecutive strikes. Her Charged Attack launches her into a spinning attack that drains stamina.
Elemental Skill – Breastplate
Noelle creates a shield and deals Geo DMG to surrounding enemies. The shield’s DMG Absorption scales off of Noelle’s DEF. While protected by the shield, after Noelle’s Normal and Charged Attacks hit an enemy, they have a chance to regenerate HP for the party. Noelle’s healing also scales off of her DEF.
This is Noelle’s best Support Talent. Keep in mind that all of Noelle’s buffs scale off of her DEF. On the bright side, you finally have a character that can use all of those DEF% Artifacts.
Elemental Burst – Sweeping Time
Noelle strikes all opponents surrounding her within a large AoE, dealing Geo DMG. After this initial attack, Noelle will retain a larger attack AoE. Additionally, her attacks are infused with Geo and her ATK increases. Her ATK buff scales off of her DEF.
This is where Noelle’s DMG comes from. Generally, even though her Normal Attacks receive the Geo infusion, this damage comes from her Burst. Also, unlike many other Bursts, Noelle’s Burst will not end if you swap her out before its duration runs out. However, even when she’s off-field, the Burst duration will continue to run.
Passive Talents
1st Ascension – Devotion
When Noelle is in the party but not on the field, this Passive automatically triggers when your active character’s HP falls below 30%. Noelle creates a shield for your active character that lasts for 20 seconds and absorbs DMG equal to 400% of Noelle’s DEF. The shield has a 150% DMG Absorption effectiveness against all Elemental and Physical DMG. This can be triggered once every 60 seconds.
This should give you enough time to heal your active character. Consider it a warning that your active character might die soon.
4th Ascension – Nice and Clean
Every 4 Normal or Charged Attack hits will decrease Breastplate’s CD by 1 second. Hitting multiple enemies with one hit only counts as 1 hit. These hits need to be performed by Noelle. If you swap Noelle out halfway through the count, the count will not reset.
Utility Passive – Maid’s Knighthood
When you perform Perfect Cooking on a DEF-boosting dish, Noelle has a 12% chance to obtain double the product. This functions similarly to Xiangling’s Utility Passive for ATK-boosting dishes. So far, only Noelle and Xinyan can increase the production rates for DEF-boosting dishes.

Remember, each Combat Talent can go up to Level 10. To triple crown a character, multiply all materials by three.
