Arma Reforger: Is There Crossplay?

May 19, 2022 by Matt Villei

Can you play with players across console lines in the new milsim?

Arma Reforger is the latest entry in the popular military simulation genre and a small taste of the currently in development Arma 4. The Early Access title serves as a bridge from 2013’s Arma 3 and the next numbered entry in the series contains a sprawling 51 km2 map and the tactical and team-based gameplay that fans have come to love about the series, all taking place in the game’s brand-new Enfusion engine which gives the game the best visuals in the series.

With the game being available on multiple platforms, players are wondering if the game features crossplay so that they can partake in these game’s battles across console lines. Luckily, I have the answer. This guide will tell you if Arma Reforger has crossplay.

Is There Crossplay In Arma Reforger?

Arma Reforger is currently available on PC as well as Xbox Series X/S. This is the first time that the Arma series has made its way to console and released as an Xbox console exclusive. Even with the game currently being available on both systems, there is no crossplay currently implemented into the game. With the game in Early Access, however, the developers do plan on eventually adding crossplay in the future.

Even though there is no crossplay currently in Arma Reforger, the game does currently contain cross-platform progression, which will allow players that play on a certain version to be able to easily hop onto a different version and continue where they left off. They will need to log into their Bohemia Interactive account and link their accounts, allowing you to play on either version you feel without feeling like you lost any progress.

In addition to having cross-platform progression, Arma Reforger also has mod support on both PC and Xbox, with the mods able to be played and carried over between the versions. This will mean that whatever ideas and unique mods that players bring to the game can be experienced by the entire playerbase.
